Call for exhibition

& project proposals

We are now accepting proposals for solo and group exhibitions and projects (from artists or curators) to take place in 2021.

WG is venue for innovative, experimental, and challenging contemporary art in an accessible and community-driven space. We encourage incoming artist/curators to activate the space by holding events such as screening, artist talks, performances, or workshops. While all proposals will be seriously considered, highest priority is generally given to those that go beyond what is on the wall and fully uses the uniqueness of our space and our community.

While most exhibitions will occur in our gallery space at 43 Woolshed Street, Bordertown, we also program satellite spaces and are open to proposals that go beyond our space. We typically schedule exhibitions that last 6-8 weeks, though we are also interested in shorter, time-based events and projects. Please include any scheduling limitations and/or specific space needs in your proposal.

Send us a proposal describing your work and/or idea and explaining how you imagine it working in (or out of) our space (feel free to visit if you are a local, or contact us with questions if you are not). We welcome written proposals, digital images, or web links that explain or demonstrate your exhibition/event concept. Please email enquiries or your proposal to:

Proposals can be sent in at any time, but only proposals received by our submission deadline, 31 October 2020, will be considered for a 2021 program.
