Jam’eh brings together international musician Greta Kelly, Naracoorte musician Sam Gulzari and the 100+ Afghani people living and working in Bordertown to reveal local talents and support the preservation of traditional music and performance celebrating Hazara culture.
Sessions on singing and playing traditional instruments will be offered using key traditional Middle Eastern instruments, including the Dambua, Dayereh, Drum and Kamancha.
Everyone is invited to explore and experience the music, food and dance in community celebrations throughout the year.
The workshops will be happening in Bordertown on March 15-17 followed by a series of community events throughout the year.
