Congratulations Jaime Prosser!!
Oil on Linen
150 x 100
My practice currently focuses on images of the everyday. Scenes that might be passed often and not noticed but from which I see interest through the detail. This painting is of an unremarkable side-street, but I find the scene intriguing through the intricate shadows and textures of the
concrete, the white wash wall and corrugated iron fence. The hint of a life behind the wall, through glimpses of tree tops and the power-lines disappearing into the distance.

She is best known for her Australian landscapes and photo-realistic images of rusty tanks, old sheds and more recently beach scenes. Building her practice for over 20 years between paint brushes and chasing two energetic little girls. She has currently been focusing on images of the everyday.
