12 June 2020 - 12 July 2020

In the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy returns from Oz to the safety and familiarity of her home in Kansas by clicking the heels of her ruby red slippers and chanting the famous words: ‘There’s no place like home, there’s no place like home, there’s no place like home’.

Dorothy was spot on: there's no place like it. As we journey through life - dodging the occassional wicked witch or global pandemic - it's comforting to know that a cozy bed, loving arms and perhaps even a munchkin or two await, just across the threshold.

Join us on Facebook (@walkwaygallery) for a virtual walk-through of There's No Place Like Home - an exhibition featuring work from the homes of Tatiara (and some further afield) residents. The exhibition also features *new* work from Tatiara artists Jaime Prosser, Glenda Rowett, Catherine Warnest and Kim Haines plus some special items loaned to us by the Clayton Farm Heritage Museum.

Opening Hours:

We are delighted to confirm that we will re-open on Friday 12 June with our new exhibition There’s No Place Like Home.

Your Gallery experience may look and feel a little different than usual, but as always, we are here to guide you through.

Please keep the following in mind when you visit the Gallery:

  • We are required to collect your contact details upon entry;

  • Respect the capacity limits of each space in the Tatiara Civic Centre;

  • Hand sanitiser available for your use on entry;

  • Adhere to physical distancing (1.5m).

For those of you who feel a little uneasy about returning to the Gallery, we will continue with our online program and are working on new ways to bring the art to your home. Stay tuned.
